The Alienation Venus Planetary Freecoaster/Cassette is a freecoaster hub utilising Planetary technology. It produces a crisp sound and engages immediately, without locking the wheel when riding backwards. Indeed, Planetary hubs combine the most favoured features of cassettes and freecoasters in a single hub. With this hub, you can build a very robust wheel with 36 spokes. Hubs featuring male axles like this one are secured to the dropouts with a nut.

The Alienation Venus Planetary hub functions like a freecoaster but feels and sounds akin to a cassette hub. It employs a Planetary Clutch system that significantly reduces slack. The hub axle is crafted from hollow heat-treated 4140 Chromoly, while the shell is constructed from 6061-T6 alloy. This results in it weighing approximately 30% less than traditional freecoaster hubs, without compromising on strength or functionality.
