The Rottefella Basic serves as a simple, conventional screw-on touring binding ideal for novices in classic cross-country skiing. It features a broad heel piece for enhanced stability. This binding requires direct attachment to the ski, eliminating the need for a mounting plate.
This binding is compatible with NNN cross-country ski boots. However, it cannot be attached to skis that have a pre-fitted NIS plate.

They are the only bindings that fit because they mount directly to the ski without a plate. REI directed me to the binding after I bought track ones that would not work. REI was out of stock. Got them mounted up and used them once around the block after a fresh snow and they worked great. Now I am ready for Eldora Nordic Center.
