Applying Grip Tape to a Scooter: A Guide

To maintain control of your stunt scooter, a new sheet of grip tape can be essential. You are able to apply grip tape on your own by following several straightforward steps. Our scooter expert, Mike, is available to guide you through each stage of the process:

1. Begin by measuring both your deck and the grip tape.
2. Turn over the grip tape and mark where it needs to be cut.
3. With a ruler and a sharp knife, proceed to cut your grip tape.
4. Remove the brake, axle, and ends of the deck now.
5. Peel off the backing of the grip tape and position it over the deck.
6. Ensure it is properly aligned, then start applying it onto the deck.
7. Utilise the protective paper to press out any air bubbles.
8. Create two little cuts in the grip tape at the deck's end.
9. Next, score the edges of the deck into the grip tape.
10. Using a sharp knife, carefully cut along the sides of the deck.
11. Slowly move around the back of the deck.
12. Correct any sharp edges if necessary.

Your scooter is now fully gripped!
