Guide to Fitting a BMX Chain

Installing a BMX chain is often considered one of the trickier maintenance tasks for any BMX enthusiast. If you're uncertain about the process, be sure to watch our video for guidance:

1. Firstly, insert the back wheel and secure it by hand.
2. Next, loop the chain around the rear gears and sprocket.
3. Identify the overlapping link and utilise a chain breaker to divide the chain.
4. Then, reassemble the chain, again employing the chain breaker.
5. Proceed by loosely placing the chain onto the gears and pulling the wheel backwards until the chain is tight.
6. Finally, firmly secure the rear wheel on both sides.

Your chain is now completely installed!
