Fitting the Brake on Roxa Comp
With the purchase of a Roxa Comp, a brake pad is supplied and can be simply attached.
Required tools: 2 hex tools or a skate-tool.
The brake pad is fitted inside the brake housing. Take note of the unique bolt needed for the brake.
Step 1
Use a hex tool on either side of the wheel to undo and remove the existing bolt and axle.
The current axle and bolt are taken out with two hex tools.
Step 2
Slide the brake housing over the rear wheel. There is a pin at the back of the skate that must align with the top of the brake housing.
The brake housing is installed by sliding it over the rear wheel.
Step 3
The brake bolt is longer than the previous one. This bolt is meant to be fitted with the axle.
Employ the new, elongated bolt.
Step 4
Attach the axle and the extended bolt. Be sure to secure it firmly (ensuring the wheel can still rotate freely). Retain the old bolt should you choose to skate without a brake later.
