Watersport Protection
Ensure Safety During Aquatic Adventures
Engaging in water sports is immensely enjoyable, yet lacking proper protection can result in significant injury. The type of protection required hinges on the specific water sport activities you participate in. Our assortment features protection for various water sports like SUP, wakeboarding, and surfing.
In general, it's prudent to have a certified water sports helmet alongside a life jacket or buoyancy aid. Keep in mind that hitting the water at high speed can feel as solid as concrete, so watersports helmets are uniquely crafted to dissipate such impacts.
If you enjoy wakeboarding or kitesurfing, possessing an impact vest is crucial. Wakeboard vests minimise the impact on your body during high-speed collisions and help avert bruising or more severe injuries.
Life Jacket or Buoyancy Aid?
While they appear similar, what distinguishes one from the other? Life jackets are engineered to keep you afloat even if you cannot swim or are unconscious. They feature a collar to support your neck and ensure your face remains above the water.
Conversely, buoyancy jackets allow for ease of swimming while wearing them. They are more apt for milder water sports and offer less buoyancy compared to a life jacket. Essentially, if you anticipate frequently entering and leaving the water, opt for a buoyancy jacket. For fast-paced activities where you do not expect to enter the water, select a life jacket.
