Stunt Scooter Pegs
What Are Stunt Scooter Pegs Used For?
Stunt scooter pegs are cylindrical attachments that can be fixed onto the wheels of a stunt scooter. These pegs enable riders to execute various grinds, stalls, and jumps that are not possible on scooters without these additions. They are available in different lengths and may be constructed from either metal or plastic materials.
Using Scooter Pegs Effectively
Stunt scooter pegs can be mounted on either side of the front and rear wheel axles of your peg-cut deck. Typically, riders prefer to install a pair of pegs on the same side of the scooter, favouring one side more for performing tricks.
To successfully grind on rails or boxes, you must be capable of hopping onto the obstacle with the front, back, or both pegs aligning on the grinding surface. To complete the trick, simply hop off and continue to roll. A wide variety of combinations exist, with an extensive trick list to explore. Other peg-based tricks that involve more footwork include nose and tail manuals, along with numerous jumps and spins.
Although most trick scooter pegs include a mounting bolt, remember that not all pegs are compatible with every stunt scooter. The standard axle diameter provided with pegs is 8 mm, which should match the diameter of your original axle. It is generally advisable to purchase pegs, decks, and forks from the same brand for the best compatibility.
