Aggressive Skates Frames / UFS Frames
Aggressive Inline Frames Designed for Grinding
Aggressive frames are crucial components of your setup. They not only secure the wheels but are also the surfaces you grind on while skating - an essential aspect of the sport. Typically, these frames are constructed from thick-walled plastics to endure the intense impacts associated with grinding.
All aggressive frames are designed to accommodate the Universal Frame System (UFS) for mounting, ensuring compatibility with all aggressive boots, regardless of their brand. UFS frames allow for simpler and more convenient customisation of your aggressive skate.
Varieties of Aggressive Skate Frames
There are various designs available for aggressive inline skate frames, but the primary three styles are anti-rocker, flat, and freestyle.
Anti-Rocker
The anti-rocker frames are the most sought-after style and are usually suggested for beginners in aggressive skating. Each of these frames holds four wheels, with the middle two wheels being smaller and crafted from hard plastic. This design creates a large groove in the centre, suitable for grinding.
Flat
Flat frames are structured to support four wheels of identical size. Unlike the anti-rocker system, all the wheels contact the ground. This setup offers superior handling among all configurations and is ideal for bowl skating and transition skating. As your weight is evenly distributed, your wheels may have a longer lifespan.
Freestyle
Freestyle frames are distinctive, featuring only two wheels on each skate. This leaves a large groove in the middle of the frame. The design is optimal for grinding and prevents wheel bite. With freestyle frames, you can grind on a broader range of obstacles.
Regardless of the frame style you choose, it's vital that it fits your wheels appropriately. If you're considering a new set of wheels for your aggressive setup, visit our Aggressive Skate Wheels page.
