Established in 2008 in Washington State, Karakoram was the brainchild of twin brothers eager to merge their engineering professions with their love for the mountains. Frustrated by the splitboard gear options available then, they were driven to create the finest hardware possible.

Karakoram takes pride in a local-first approach, with almost all parts sourced from within Washington and each binding meticulously assembled by hand at their own facility. The company's staff design their equipment and construct every item with personal dedication as if it belonged to them.
