Soul Plates and Soul Frames
An Insight into Soul Plates, Soul Frames and Grindplates
If you're an aggressive skater, you understand the significant role that grinding and sliding play in the sport. In this section, you can explore our range of soul plates, grind plates, and soul frames. Whether you're on the streets or in the skate park, frequent grinding will inevitably wear out your skates, necessitating the replacement of certain parts over time.
Grindplates are situated in the centre groove of the skate, enabling you to "lock on" to a rail and grind along the middle of the boot. Soul frames are positioned between the boot and the frame, with soul plates, also known as sliders, attached. This expands the setup's frame element, allowing you to grind using both the side of the boot and the heel.
Although grind plates and soul plates are primarily used in aggressive skating, there are a few freeskate models that accommodate soul plates. Additionally, grind blocks, a newer entry to the market, can be affixed to quad skates.
Regardless of what you require for your skates, ensure they are compatible with your current setup. The most reliable method is to choose a model crafted by the same brand as your skate.
Your frames are another crucial component that will affect your grinding experience. If you believe it's time for a replacement, visit our Aggressive Skate Frames page.
