Jan Welch, the visionary behind this brand, is a trailblazer in American skater culture. Welch embarked on his skating journey in 1991. His ambition was to bring together the skater community; he played a pivotal role in the creation of Scum Magazine. Within just two years, it became an international sensation, capturing the essence of aggressive skating alongside its accompanying lifestyle, music, and art. The magazine was in publication from 1995 – 1999.
Jan's work in video is likely his most renowned contribution. In 2005, his video “Leading the Blind” was awarded “Video of the Year” by the French blog Pello Mag.
